Activist Ed Jenkins Calls for Reorganization of County Human Relations
Frederick County activist Ed Jenkins asks Commissioners to reorganize the Human Relations Department alleging director Theodore Stephens holds a personal vendetta against him. Jenkins ran a newspaper ad and sent a letter, while Stephens cites confidentiality and says Jenkins discussed a complaint publicly before investigators could review it. Sundergill of the Human Relations Commission notes confidentiality as required and says investigators must determine if discrimination occurred. Commissioners Bowerman and Yingling say they have not seen the letter but will confer.
