Record Crop Of Babies Predicted
New York August 7 A record high baby crop for 1947 is forecast by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company statisticians surpassing last year’s 3 440 000 births. Through May there were about 1 572 000 births, up 456 000 from 1946’s level. The analysts warn the gap may narrow as the year continues, noting 1946’s peak followed rapid demobilization. They say 1947 may set a long lasting record.
