Russian forces seize six villages on Sereth front
London reports Russian attacks along Sereth and Graberka south of Brody broke Teutonic resistance. Moscow says six villages Zvyjin Ratische Tchistohady Meldzigory Gni dava Zalvoce and the ridge were captured with over 3000 prisoners and 95 officers. A Cossack cavalry assault hit an enemy battery and hand to hand fighting occurred in village streets as Germans retreated house to house. Other fronts show Austrian offense near Delatyn repulsed and Carpathian gains by Russian forces.
