Potomac School kids scale 100-foot Harpers Ferry cliff
Eight year old students from Potomac School’s Day Program joined an Outdoor School led rock climbing lesson at Harpers Ferry. The six week OUT Program in Herndon Virginia includes camping and backpacking with partners Jesse Reynolds and Jim Brown. Photographs show Joseph Hacker, Billy Butler, and Jessica Gibson during the ascent amid safety gear and enthusiastic remarks about the challenge. The event underscores a summer education angle as participants face fear and exhilaration at the top.
