Democrats Hold Baltimore Convention Ticket Negotiations

A Baltimore meeting outlined Democratic ticket plans with delegates listed from Anne's, Montgomery, Prince George's, and Queen Annes counties. Attendees discussed supporting a full slate including Comptroller Major Brooke and other state figures, while debates about Major Lee's potential on the ticket reflected factional tensions and calls for party harmony. The gathering, attended by Attorney General Jene and many state leaders, focused on primaries, resolutions, and honoring late Queen Anne's official George E. George.

Residents will return, and representatives from churches in the county will attend. The Hoover barn, erected by John Hoover over a century ago, is owned by A E Hoover great grandson of John Hoover.

New Military Names Mentioned In Colonial Era Dispatches

Fragmented OCR lists several individuals and units such as Sergeant Clyde H. Foote of the 135th Tank Corps and others linked to military postings and transport roles. The text references addresses and organizations in a garbled way, noting figures associated with the Hall of States and U S Wheel or diving in an Airy context.

Help Wanted Ad Mentioning Elta Ba Fas

Fragmentary listing appears to note a help wanted item connected to the term elta and the phrase Ba Fas. The readable text hints at a job notice but lacks concrete details such as position, employer, location, or deadlines.

Prisoner Escape Rumor Supposedly Circulated

The Florida Times-Union reports Sheriff statements about fugitives and jail conditions. A rumor claimed a prisoner escaped from the jail with Horace Johnson, but officials say all inmates are behind bars and cannot break out. There are 22 or 23 prisoners in the cell block, none are state prisoners, and many are jailed for city ordinance violations. The sheriff noted prison counts rose and fell with sentence releases.
