The coal barge Florrie foundered between Barnegat and Fire Island in a northeasterly gale while towed by the Boswell. Captain Cobb and one deck hand were saved. British schooner Orient rescued after mid Ocean wreck
In mid ocean near Rum Cay Bahamas on July 27 the eight crew of the British schooner Orient were landed after Captain Munro and crew were rescued by the Norwegian steamer Banes from Baltimore to Harbor Island.
