Court rejects robber's case in Maryland appeal
Maryland Court of Special Appeals affirmed the 15 year sentence for Travis Stamper after finding he was punished for perjury not innocence. Stamper denied involvement in the Urbana C Store armed robbery of March 10, 1993, then lied at sentencing about his role. The panel noted his perjurious testimony, merged concurrent terms, and rejected his claim of double punishment for innocence. Lottery results included at end.
