Nature may have paved the way for Jerusalem capture
Israeli geologist Dan Gill argues that Jerusalem’s ancient water tunnels formed tens of thousands of years ago by natural seepage and caverns, later expanded by humans. He cites Hezekiah’s tunnel and natural openings that could have let Joab enter the City of David to surprise the Jebusites, linking water systems to biblical events.

Wyoming Church Coalition backs life without parole amendment
In Casper the Wyoming Church Coalition endorses a constitutional amendment to let the legislature impose life without parole, offering juries an option besides the death penalty. Rev. Mike Parry of Lander United Methodist says the measure keeps sentences firm and opposes the death penalty. The amendment would prevent sentence reduction for those jailed for life without parole. The coalition views the proposal as a long‑standing alternative to capital punishment.
