Hearing Set To Replace Burned School In Montgomery County
An emergency budget hearing to approve a $2 465 000 appropriation to replace a fire destroyed Dickerson Barnesville elementary school has been authorized by the Montgomery County Council. The hearing, optional under emergency budget rules, will be at 3 30 p m August 18 in the Rockville council chamber. The Fire damaged school was struck by lightning on May 3 and construction funds include insurance and $70 000 from the 1956 60 fiscal year with unallocated county funds.
