Reagan tax plan cuts cut into upper incomes
The plan would trim taxes by amounts ranging from 71 to 1333 dollars over several years, with 32 percent of benefits going to households earning above 50,000. It includes oil industry breaks, raises savings incentives, and extends retirement and charitable contribution provisions, while estate taxes are largely repealed. Critics call the package a shift toward corporate and higher income relief amid debate over aid to the poor and elderly. FIRST AIR PHOTO J. B.
