The June 16 decision by the County Commissioners denying the 1803 unit Adamstown East development will be appealed to the Frederick County Circuit Court. County Attorney Larry Speelman will be subpoenaed as a witness for the developers, per lawyer Richard E. Zimmerman, with more subpoenas expected. Zimmerman's office noted Speelman may be unable to testify due to attorney client relations.

The open burning ban remains in effect as conditions improve and a cold front nears bringing more rain and cooler air.
