Tragedy in Thurmont as 4 year old shot by brother
A four year old Thurmont girl Patricia Ann Creeger died Tuesday afternoon after her nine year old brother accidentally fired a .32 caliber pistol. State Police ruled the death accidental. The girl was the daughter of Donald and Patricia Creeger. Services set for Thursday at 2 30 p.m. at Creeger Funeral Home Thurmont with burial in Blue Ridge Cemetery.

Family Of Five Found Dead In Milpitas
Neighborhood investigation uncovered the murders at the Euart home. Jeanette Euart shot her husband Kent and their three children Denise Eric and Randy before taking her own life, police say. Daniel Dwelle discovered the scene after finding Mrs Euart’s body through a rear glass door. The five were missing when a child failed to attend Bible class.

Thurmont Appoints Police Chief
A 31 year old Washington officer said last night that he has accepted the job of Chief of Police in Thurmont. Donald Cille, who now lives in Landover, and is a four year veteran of the Metropolitan Police Department, said he will arrive in Thurmont Thursday with his wife to look over the town. Cillo said that he was hired by Thurmont Police Commissioner William Lidie at a salary of 120 a week, to replace Clarence Hagelin, who resigned two weeks ago, at a salary of 100.

Man Shot After Terrorizing Fight At Rockville Lodge
In Rockville Maryland a 27 year old man identified as Charles Edward Jones was shot by police after terrorizing eight people at a Moose Lodge for about 45 minutes. He threatened a woman with a knife, threw a keg opener at officers, damaged the bar and stole 180 dollars from the register. Jones was wounded and hospitalized in critical condition. Barbara Kopss, the woman held at knifepoint, was shaken but unharmed.

Renovations Begin at City School for Frederick Community College
