Pulsations for dairymen
Dairymen can harvest rye for silage at boot stage yielding 5 to 10 tons per acre with 16 to 20 percent protein and energy similar to corn silage. Wheat and triticale offer comparable nutrition, with wheat showing 20 percent protein at boot and energy near 76 before heads. Barley and oats also suit silage. modern storage like plastic wrap or bags enables top-quality feed for farmers lacking choppers, while fertilizer strategies emphasize low-cost nitrogen and soil fertility credits for economic yield.
