Rotorex Faces Potential 7 Million Back Pay Hit in Dispute

Union officials warned Rotorex may owe more than 7 million in back pay if an administrative law judge rules against the company, with monthly back pay adding 700 000 to 800 000 as the dispute with IUE continues. The NLRB charged Rotorex and Fedders with unfair labor practices a briefing set to be heard in Frederick, while workers have picketed since last August. If the judge sides with Local 133, Rotorex must pay back wages, though appeals could delay payment for years.
