Mrs Anna Derr 83 of Frederick Maryland dies Tuesday April 27 at Meridian Nursing Center. widow of Melvin H Derr married June 18 1934. born April 16 1910 in Johnstown PA daughter of the late Robert L and Alice Jane Witt. she taught at Thurmont and Frederick high schools and later served as librarian of Middletown High School. she was active in Evangelical Lutheran Church Frederick the Lutheran Church Women Hood College graduate 1931 and member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and Frederick Business and Professional Women. surviving are daughter Joanne D Chantry son State Sen John W Derr sister Frances McGraw seven grandchildren and others.

City seeks bids on Carroll Creek project final stage
