Walkers stride for local March of Dimes event
About 512 participants completed the March of Dimes walk yesterday, with a record finishers total. The event featured runners, walkers, and three skateboarders on an 18 mile course, plus a white rat fundraiser and several student volunteers from Walkersville High School aiding sponsor tracking. Gripping heat and sun challenged participants as finish times ranged around two hours while many praised the course and community support.
