Stolen Car Recovered As Thief Flees in Frederick
A stolen car containing a university recorder was recovered after police spotted it at 9:30 p.m. in the Optimist Parking Lot. The thief fled on foot toward All Saints Street. a tape recorder owned by the University of Maryland Frederick Extension Service was found in the front seat. The car belonged to John Edward Malligo of Shawnee Drive, started with a key not belonging to the owner.

Mrs Betty White of Park Street Mt Airy will donate one kidney to her eight year old son Steven Sweep on May 2 at Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore. Man Injured On Way To Hospital After Two-Car Crash
Orley R. Bourland Jr. of Walkersville was slightly injured in a two car collision at 7 03 p m near Frederick Memorial Hospital. James H. Matthew of Gaithersburg struck Bourland from the rear as Bourland waited to enter the hospital lot. Bourland suffered minor injuries. Matthew's car had no damage and Bourland’s car incurred about 125 dollars in damage. No charges were filed.
