Rev. O E Bluedhorn announced a program on May 8 at 2 30 PM to be performed by William Spriggs organist and music instructor at Hood College.
The Court of Appeals of Maryland ordered Norman E. Osborne barred from exclusively practicing as a chiropractor in his Hagerstown home at 1172 Northern Heights. Neighbors argued home practice caused parking and traffic issues on Terrace. The court allowed occasional or emergency home use only as a supplement to a distant office. Also upheld was a Carroll County ruling denying a divorce to Raymond E. Lloyd Jr. and Arlene Lloyd. A separate note mentions a diversified organ program at Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The Maryland Holstein Breed ers second annual spring sale at the fairgrounds Monday saw sixty head of cattle average $401.60 a cow. Top prices included a toy cow from Over all Dairy Farm at Mt. Airy for 3560, consigned to the Department of Mental Hygiene Central Farm at El Heart x. Other top bids included a heifer for 275 to Blake Bros at East New Market and a bull for 350 to J H Mullhousen in Westminster. Auctioneers were D. H. Wood & Son with Roscoe Frizzell as clerk.
The Secretary cites studies showing milk nutrients in a quart cost about 42 cents at prices ranging from 23 to 26 cents for the product. He argues that buying milk is a sound bargain and emphasizes its food value.
The Frederick County 4 H Council of Girls holds its third annual meeting this evening at eight o clock at Elm Street School. Theme 4 H Dreams Come True features speakers musical numbers and a style show with Miss Florence W Low as principal speaker and topics including My 4 H Dream Came True. A long program lists many club members as models and performers with names of participants and ushers.
