Prisoners Return to County Jail After Montevue Stay
Frederick County prisoners came back to the jail Wednesday after a stretch at Montevue for Easter. All but two deserters remained missing, bringing the count to thirteen, which Sheriff Guy Anders quipped as unlucky. Inmates said Montevue confinement didn’t feel like jail, and officials reported no word from Bil Blank and James Walter Summers since they climbed over a barrier.

Getaway Follows Transom Break At Montevue
Police say a transom break at Montevue Tuesday led to a getaway. They suspect a link to Bill’s girlfriend who left town the night before his departure from detention. Summers, previously sentenced in Charlestown for drunken driving, offered no clues on Summers and Blank’s whereabouts. Officers state, “They’ll show up somewhere,” and “it won’t be too long.”
