Survey Of Rivers To Be Conducted In Summer
Albert Powell Lewistown state fish culturist and staff will conduct the first river survey of the Mo and Potomac to assess food conditions, growth rates, and migration of bass. The study covers about eight miles of two rivers including Monocacy and Shenandoah tributaries, with samples weighed and preserved for analysis. Spawning has begun at the Lewistown hatchery as the work aims to identify streams suitable for stocking bass.
