Warrant Issued Over Lumber Dispute In City Court

Charles D Kehne of Massers Addition swore out a warrant Tuesday for the arrest of Paul Fry co owner of the Miller and Fry lumber concern on East Patrick Street. Kehne charged assault and battering and showed a badly battered face at Police Headquarters claiming Fry struck him with brass knuckles over a lumber note. Case to be heard in Police Court tonight.

Balmy Weather Dips Into Spring Fever Across City

Temperatures climbed to 78 degrees Tuesday signaling a brief spell of springlike warmth. Forecasters noted above normal readings with full sunshine. City parks crews worked to ready clay tennis courts with calcium chloride while concrete courts have been in use for weeks. Overnight lows dipped to 46 as a mild, sunny spell continued.

LeRoy Davis received a tentative appointment as den chief of Scout Cub Pack No 1 at a weekly Presbyterian meeting in room 2. Davis is a member of Scout Troop No 29 and formerly a Cub.
