Frederick opens regional cancer therapy center in 1989
The new Regional Cancer Therapy Center at Frederick Memorial Hospital and the National Cancer Institute blends radiation and chemotherapy with experimental BRMP studies. Open house and dedication on April 28 feature guests Marilyn Quayle and Dr. Samuel Broder as the center treats about 350 new patients yearly and maintains a cortically modern facility with a million dollar linear accelerator and homey furnishings.
