Man Convicted After Tavern Dispute In Frederick
In Frederick Magistrate Court Harry L. Lake testified about a tavern confrontation on South Market Street where a shotgun was displayed during a dispute with bartender Hugh Flynn. Flynn, who said Lake presented a $10 bill that never appeared in the till, denied loading the weapon, and the magistrate dismissed the assault charge after noting Flynn acted in self defense. Other cases included Joseph Schultz charged with drunk and disorderly conduct after an all night restaurant incident, and Paul Dalton found guilty of drunken and reckless driving with light penalties. A sword donation to Harpers Ferry National Monument was also noted, along with a local public notices and library association gathering references.
