Taft to Go to Panama for Permanent Treaty Concessions
Secretary of State Tate will sail April 20 aboard the cruiser Prairie to negotiate a permanent treaty with Panama and Colombia. A marine detach ment will accompany him as questions between the U S Pan ama and Colombia are arranged during a three week stay on the isthmus. He aims to have concessions from Panama embedded in a protocol turned permanent. The trip is expected to end May 29.
