Youth Placed On Probation In Juvenile Court Hearing
Judge Patrick M. Schnauffer placed a 15 year old boy on probation in Brunswick after prosecutors accused him and four adults of causing over 200 dollars in damages at Scheer Stadium last October 2. The judge also waived jurisdiction in a separate case and ordered another juvenile to trial with a mental health exam. He moved a girl from parental custody to the Children's Aid Society due to chronic absence caused by ill health from infected teeth. A mother was cautioned for neglect but kept custody. police testified children roamed streets and the mother frequented taverns. Fire drill at 138 West Church street proved unnecessary as steam vented from a furnace. A Mohawk Valley fire in Rome claimed seven lives, including five children.
