Fishing Creek Project Ready
WPA plans to reinforce Fishing Creek below the dam with a four to two foot high wall and replace washed bridges. Stone steps to the dam, a flat stone walk, revetment work along the bank, and new bridges are proposed to prevent future flood damage. Plans will be sent to Albany for approval before submission to Washington for analysis.

WPA projects eyed for dam wall and sewer line
A 1000 foot wall along Fishing Creek and a sewer from Montevue Hospital are proposed WPA projects with estimated cost from 10000 to 15000 dollars. Labor from Unemployment Service would be used and work could start after final approval. The wall would straddle the stream with work on both sides and the sewer laid to join the city system. Labor would be assigned by city authorities, and the plan will go to the State WPA office in Baltimore then Washington.
