More than 85 applications for master or journeyman plumber examinations were filed with the Frederick County Commissioners by noon. Cyclist Killed On Md 28 Near Park Mills Road
A 23 year old Leesburg VA man died when his motorcycle struck a car on Maryland Route 28 two miles east of Park Mills Road Tuesday at 5 30 pm. Larry Thomas Fletcher was pronounced dead on arrival at Frederick Memorial Hospital. The rider was westbound on Md 28 when after passing a bus he apparently collided with a car exiting a private drive driven by Frances Ann Page 24 of Dickerson. Page was treated and released for facial lacerations and leg abrasions. Page's passengers Angela Page 16 months and Jayne Elizabeth Mercer 11 also of Dickerson were treated for abrasions.
