Chest X Ray Survey Begins Next Week
The Frederick County Health Department and the Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association will run the first 1972 mobile chest X ray survey starting Monday April 24 in Jefferson and covering southwest and west areas. Additional passes in June and August will reach other communities. Each area is visited once per year by a mobile unit. The screening detects tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases and reports abnormalities to the patient’s physician. Participants receive a form with the X ray date and number, which must appear on the X ray report card to be valid. Last year over 200 people requested duplicate reports due to missing date or number on the card.
