During 1948 more people drank Old Export than ever before says G. W. Bibby, president of the Cumberland Brewing Co. He adds that the first quarter of the current year is again breaking records. A half million dollar expansion was completed with expanded production facilities to meet growing demand.

A Cumberland Brewing Company workforce boasts long tenures with many skilled staff serving 30 to over 40 years. Some employees followed fathers into the firm. The chief brewer, bottling division, and key foremen are among the longest tenured workers.
