Local man charged in two car accident
A Frederick man was charged with failure to yield right of way after a two car collision at New Design Road and Guilford Drive Wednesday. Devon Kelly Malloy of Frederick was driving a Cadillac and turned left onto New Design Road, colliding with Melody Ann Geary of Hagerstown who was northbound. Geary and passenger Ruth Ann Fremming were hospitalized for minor injuries. Alice Faye Yeates, Geary’s front seat passenger, was flown to Washington Hospital Center in fair condition.

Westminster man arrested after high speed chase
William Andrew Stewart, 34, was jailed in Frederick County on $5,000 bail after a vehicle pursuit began on Daysville Road and Md. 75. He fled on foot near Libertytown, was later arrested at 4239 Geetings Road in Westminster, facing charges including fleeing and eluding, speeding, and negligent driving.

Fire causes 150000 damage to duplex on Main Street
A blaze at 117 119 Main St in New Windsor caused about 150000 in damage to a two story duplex. The fire burned over an hour before crews contained it. Two firefighters were injured and treated at Carroll County Hospital. Owner is John T Connell Sr. Investigators from Frederick County and Deputy State Fire Marshal Charles Adams are probing the fire.
