Miscellaneous Metals poised for 5.9M state bonds in Frederick County
Miscellaneous Metals faces a state loan of 5.9 million in low interest bonds to relocate to a 121000 square foot site in McKinney Industrial Park. The Frederick County Commissioners prepare for a public hearing on April 21 to approve the Maryland Economic Development Revenue bond. The deal, led by Kissner-McCombs, involves a 99 acre Frederick County site bought for 905000 after a court battle with MIE Properties of Baltimore. The move will create 30 jobs and total project costs reach 69 million including land. The county says the site is scarce and will be moved from Frederick Industrial Park to retain local jobs. The old facility will be abandoned as the new site is readied. County officials plan to work with brokers to inventory available properties for future location needs.
