Storer College to suspend operations after current year
The West Virginia legislature withdrew its annual 520,000 appropriation after a Supreme Court ruling on school integration. Rev L F Terrell acting president announced at an emergency trustees meeting that Storer College will suspend operations after the current year and may resume later under a readjusted plan. Terrell also resigned effective August 31. The college, established 1868, had eight students this year.
