Doctor Morrris Given Term In Reckless Driving Case
Dr. Robert Roy Morris 34, director of the Montgomery County Mental Hygiene Clinic, was sentenced in Montgomery Circuit Court to six months in prison for reckless driving after a four car collision a year ago killed Juliette Ann Fleck of Youngwood Pennsylvania. Circuit Court Judge Charles W. Woodward noted the jury could have found manslaughter and praised the witnesses while lamenting the inadequate $100 maximum fine. Morris's wife cried as he was remanded to Rockville jail to await transfer to Maryland House of Correction. He had prior manslaughter conviction in Bethesda Police Court.
