Missionary hope dim in Japan says Rev. Zaugg
Rev. E H Zaugg, veteran Reformed missionary, spoke at Hood College on postwar Japan. He noted Japan’s militarist control since 1931, widespread sacrifice by common people, and a religious landscape with Shintoism Buddhism and Christianity. He warned Missionaries may not be welcomed after the war and urged a planned Christian campaign for a better world.
