Market Leaders Absorb Light Profit Selling
New York April 11 Stock market leaders absorbed light profit selling as last week's climbers slipped fractions. Despite small offering volumes, speculative forces were encouraged and extreme setbacks were reduced. The President's railroad relief message drew no immediate market response and carriers' future remained unsettled. Rail stocks showed resistance, with some equipment issues gaining on expectations of government loans for rehabilitation. The pound sterling rose to 4.9673. A chest clinic led by Dr Shafer will be held Tuesday at the county Health Department with start at nine o'clock.
