A Virginia man, Paul C Allen, 26, of Alexandria, was arrested Friday on charges of transport of a handgun and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on I-270 near Md 8. A drug dog found 1.2 grams of marijuana, a loaded .32 caliber handgun, and ammunition. he was released on personal recognizance.
A 27 year old Frederick man Mark Anthony Sims was held without bail at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center after a bail review on Friday on charges of distribution of crack cocaine possession with intent to distribute possession of crack and possession of drug paraphernalia He was arrested by Frederick City Police at Windsor Garden Apartments on Key Parkway at 910 pm Thursday Police say Sims sold 20 dollars worth of crack to an informant a police dog helped capture him and a marked 20 dollar bill was found with crack in a cigarette pack The review also noted another man Charles Anthony Watts 27 of 1400 block Key Parkway was held without bail on burglary and related charges He faces up to 28 years if convicted and a 2500 dollar fine with a break in reported March 9 at East Second Street Frederick containing stolen items including a 35mm camera two answering machines and coins
Brunswick police cited three employees for selling beer or liquor to a minor. Rae Park of Ellicott City worked at Brunswick Liquors, Bryan E. Veverka of Brunswick at Iron Horse Liquors, and Sharon D. Wentzell of Brunswick at Brunswick Crab House. Civil citations carry fines up to 500 dollars first offense and 1000 dollars second. The Crab House owner faces a separate liquor commission hearing.

The case proceeds in Frederick County District Court, with Huffer denying all charges.
