Carroll considers higher impact fees to fund services
Westminster Mayor Ben Brown urged Carroll County leaders to raise impact fees and taxes, arguing growth does not pay for itself. He cited funds needed for roads, schools, police, parks and libraries, and noted a $6.4 million state appeal for an Eldersburg school. Current fees are 2700 countywide and 3500 in the south, with past studies showing possible ranges up to 8000 to 10000.
