Maryland's Project Basic Eyes Graduation Competencies
Ann Burnside examines Maryland's aim to grant a high school diploma only to students meeting minimum competencies across five areas: basic skills, survival skills, interpersonal relations, world of work, citizenship, and leisure. Letters to the editor sale of Easter baskets draws FCARC thanks
The Frederick County Association for Retarded Citizens thanks Frederick County residents for purchasing 3,000 Easter baskets to support programs for citizens with mental retardation. The Kiwanis Club hosted Lit tle Jules at the Francis Scott Key Hotel, where he showcased his skill as a versatile song leader and entertainer. Edgar J. Between 750 and 1,000 Frederick city and county students will join Camp Greentop’s eight week outdoor education program near Thurmont. Robert E.
