Hotel Fire Drives Guests Into Streets
A pre dawn fire at the Caldwell Hotel in Paris Tennessee drove panicky guests to the streets in their night clothes. The two story brick hotel with 30 rooms burned rapidly and was under control in 20 minutes. About 25 or 30 persons were in the building and several leaped to the ground from a second story window. Three or four were taken to hospital for examination. Damage confined to two upstairs rooms a lobby and a hallway. Origin undetermined. No serious injuries reported.
