Montgomery Man Given Eight Years for Manslaughter
Samuel Hill, a young man from Sandy Spring area, was convicted of manslaughter in Rockville circuit court and sentenced by Judge Edward C. Peter to eight years in Maryland Penitentiary. Frederick tourist park to be ready by April fifteenth

Strike completes first week in coal mine walkout

Western Maryland Railway officials are satisfied with the strike situation at Ridgely and the shops in Pittsburgh. A special train was held up by four men at Thomas West Virginia who refused to break seals to search for strike breakers. the men were removed from the train and supplies carried for company use were delivered. Twenty-two strike breakers were brought to Meyersdale Pennsylvania to replace strikers. 21 were persuaded by pickets to return to Pittsburgh.

Two Air Express Planes Collide Near Phielcy
