Foxhall Keene Injured at Melton Mowbray Hunt
American sportsman Foxhall Keene was riding with the Quorn hounds near Burrough Hil when his horse fell at the first fence and rolled. Keene lay unconscious for a time before being moved to Dalby Hall, the master of foxhounds. In Boston, the House Ways and Means Committee reported a bill to erect a statue to the late General Benjamin F. Butler with a clear “ought not to pass” verdict.
