More than 900 people visited the Frederick CCC camp on Sunday to commemorate its fifth anniversary. A dinner for 30 Frederick citizens followed by a mayoral address emphasized the camp’s benefits to Frederick City and Frederick County. Attendees included Dr. Henry L Stahr Hood College president Lt Col John W Leonard and county officials. A tour inspected the camp facilities including the mess hall kitchen store room exhibition cabin forestry office tool room machine shop headquarters hospital recreation hall and barracks.
