Baltimore decree dissolves War Food Products Corporation and requires surrender of its charter within 180 days. The ruling splits the Continental, General Baking, and War Baking concerns, ending a government case against seven corporations and eight individuals over alleged monopoly in the baking industry. The consent decree, approved by Judge Morris A. Soper, closes the matter with no trial.
A Commerce Department bulletin reports Maryland farm population fell by 30 000 from 1920 to 1925. The 1925 census lists 249 019 farms with 201 001 white and 48 318 colored. 1920 figures show 216 831 white and 62 994 colored. Males 10 and older slightly outnumbered females on farms in 1925.
