Ifenry Sayler officiated. Mrs. W. was 63. A. D. Leese bought 20 acres from A. N. Grimes for seven hundred dollars. Vincent McDonnell bought several fine horses for his farm.

Miss Annie Tate of Hendersonville, 20, wed Thomas J Barber, a drummer for Webb & Co of Charleston. Rumors claim Barber deserted a Chester wife with four children. Dr. Tate seeks Barber. warrant issued and townsfolk vow justice. Court later sets April 28 for trial.
In Washington a case against William Jones for assault with intent to kill Charles Guiteau is discussed. The indictment from two years earlier alleged an attempt to kill Guiteau during his transfer. The prosecuting witness is thought dead, and the defense seeks a nolle prosequi.
The Lottery of Life is to be staged Saturday night by E. A. Locke and Zimmerman’s Comedy Company. Locke, praised as a leading comic actor and former Lotta co star, headlines a program with novelty acts and songs. The Japonica Concert Hall scene features an engaging specialty troupe. box tickets are on sale at the Yeakles City Hall shoe store.
