County hearings set on Frederick budget requests
Frederick County agencies seek 69.2 million in operating requests for next fiscal year with 184 million capital needs. If approved without cuts, property tax would rise. a May 12 hearing would occur if the rate exceeds 2.11. Agencies seek 168 new positions, with school system and college adding staff. Public hearings run April 16, 22, 23 and 24 in Winchester Hall. Proceeds from a Pre Easter Bake Sale at Giant on Md 40 will go to charity.
