Senate Refuses Confirmation of J E Clark Tidewater Chairman
The Maryland Senate rejected John E. Clark's bid to continue as chair of the Tidewater Fisheries Commission after an executive session. George T. Harrison’s nomination for another term was not acted on, as a reorganization bill for the commission looms. Dissension between Clark and Harrison marked the session with resignations hinted and a push for broader changes. Meanwhile a separate Calvert County storm damaged two homes with no injuries reported.
