Egg throwing disrupts street medicine show led by Dr Ferrell
During a Friday night street medicine display by Dr F B Ferrell who claims Cherokee heritage, boys lobbed overripe eggs at performers. Dr Ferrell accused Dr G W McGraw of instigating the prank and testifying in mayor court at 3 pm Saturday. The court found no evidence linking McGraw to the egg-throwing and Maghan dismissed the case after scolding the boys.

Small wreck at Moark delays passenger service
A minor wreck occurred on the Tron Mountain near Moark Arkansas Tuesday delaying passenger service on train No 3 for several hours. A Memphis division freight car jumped the track prompting a wrecker from Poplar Bluff and Schlitt's Special from Newport to clear the line.

Corning July 28 Pearls hunter John Powell of Poyner Missouri drowned while wading in Black River near Murphy Lake about seven miles southwest of Corning. He had cramps or a fit, leaving a widow and several small children.
