Death of S C Driskill in Oklahoma
S C Driskill formerly of Newnan died Thursday the 15th in McLoud Oklahoma after a brief illness lasting two or three days. He was 52 and survived by his wife and five children. He was brother to Supt W J Driskill of the Coweta Fertilizer Company and had resided here for years leaving many friends saddened by the news.

Verne Cavender Acquitted of Liquor Charge
Verne Cavender, arraigned before Mayor Burdett last Saturday morning, was found not guilty of selling liquor. The acquittal ends the case against Cavender who faced a liquor sale charge.

Street Fight Between V K Manget and Stanley Leads to Fines
In a street confrontation near the depot on Wednesday afternoon V K Manget and Mr. Stanley of the Atlanta and West Point Railroad endured a public quarrel over freight charges. Manget struck Stanley after exchange of words. pedestrians separated them. Manget was fined 15 while Stanley was discharged by Mayor Burdett.

Patterson Case May Seek Governor's Pardon
The railroad commission did not fully endorse Burrell Patterson’s death sentence for the murder of William Stewart. It recommends a respite until a fuller inquiry can be made. Patterson and his father Mack were convicted. Mack received life imprisonment and is confined at Palmer Brick Company camp. The commission will decide at its March meeting.
