Rebels suffered many losses while American forces captured stores and destroyed fortifications. A Manila shipping official allied with insurrection was arrested for extortion and blackmail.
Darien Georgia September 6 five of the rioters on trial have been convicted after three days of sitting. The first jury retired yesterday afternoon and a second panel of five was summoned as the court stretched late. By noon today the jury had not reached a verdict and may fail to agree.
Vancouver report shows the Dirigo arriving with 200 passengers and gold dust valued at $250,000. Barclay of North Dakota wins $109.00. C. S. Coastworth travels via the Edmonton route. Dawson departures exceed arrivals by 8,048 with 3,000 Klondike men needing exit next winter.
