Council Meeting Debates Engineer Bill and Paving Plan
At the regular council meeting on Monday night a lengthy dispute over T A Garrow’s surveying bill for street paving surfaced. The claim stood at 4200 dollars less 1000 already paid, with no agreement reached. The paving proposal was revived but rejected by Mayor Larkin and a majority. The council ordered gravel on streets and moved to a voter bonding measure for 2500 to 3000 dollars for fire protection and approved buying an L S Otis spring for 1200.
